Good News and CupCards {to go} Reveal

Happy Thursday dear friends!!!  I have some wonderful news to share with you tonight!!!  I am so happy to say that I have joined the amazing team over at CupCards {to go}!!!  You should see the smile on my face!!!  I absolutely love the sweet little kits that Sonda puts together and I am so thrilled to be a part of the team!!!

I can't wait to share the Fall kit with you!  It's full of rich papers, gorgeous trims, beautiful florals and enough cream card bases and envelopes to create a basket full of cards!
Here's the Fall Kit-Briar Rose:
Isn't it completely beautiful?  So much goodness in one little kit!!!
and here's the first card I made:
I just love the sentiments included in this kit.  They are all about friends and friendship!  So perfect and full of heartfelt emotion!!  I used a Simple Stories Generations Flash Card as my focal point and added the sentiment, buttons, trim, pearls, floral and ribbon trim.  Such an easy card to make to give to your special friend!
The florals that are included in this kit are absolutely divine!!  I paired this one up with some ribbon and the results are fabulous!!
The next card was made using the CupCards {to go} sketch.
I stitched together several papers as well as a flash card and added some lace, ribbon and florals.  I also added a PTI Half and Half tag and stamped sentiment.
I just can't tell you how much I love all the florals in this kit!! They are sooooo beautiful!!!

Now you are going to think I'm silly, but the next card had me thinking and singing about Christmas!
One of the Simple Stories Flash Cards had this sweet little house on it and I just kept thinking of the song, "I'll be Home for Christmas".  I used the back of my flash card scraps for the patterned paper on the card and fussy cut the house.  I added a PTI die cut snowflake and some glitter.

I embellished the card with trims, ribbon and another one of the beautiful flowers from the kit.  The stamped sentiment is from PTI's Love Lives Here Holidays stamp set.  I just love Christmas!!

I changed things up a bit with the next card.  The kit includes some of Cosmo Cricket's Glubers and what a fun little tool they are!!!  I thought it would be fun to use some tulle I have from Glitz Design and make a fun little flower with the Glubers.
I started off with a tight little knot and the flower ended up very tight.  Not exactly the look I was looking for.
I decided to try again.  This time with a loose knot.  I placed the knot in the center of the Gluber and started twisting away!
Once I twisted all the tulle around the Gluber, I tucked the edge under and cut the excess Gluber away.
This is the look I was trying to achieve!  I added a little pearl to the center and embellished with a sweet little black ribbon.  The Glubers are an amazing idea and I love being able to make my own little flowers.  Home made flowers are the perfect way to dress up a quick and easy card!
The last card I'm going to share with you today uses the sweet little give away featured at CupCards {to go}.  You can find the details here!  You gotta love giveaways!!  Here's the giveaway:
and here's my little card using some goodies from the kit and the giveaway:

I thought it would be fun to make a colorful and using a banner would be the perfect way to use color!  I die cut the banners using PTI's Double Edged Banner and used my PTI Banner Builder Stamps for the base.   I added some pearls and jewels to dress up the banner and fussy cut a flower out of the patterned paper to embellish.  A fun and easy card perfect for my sweet friend!!

I absolutely enjoyed my CupCards {to Go}Fall kit and.  Thanks so much for letting me share with you!!
Hope you have a wonderful weekend!!!

Papertrey Ink September Blog Hop

Hi there dear friends!!  I'm so excited to have a little time to join in on the Papertrey Ink Blog Hop!!
Here's the challenge:
We have another amazing inspirational photo for you this month that we just know will bring out the very best in your creativity!  Look closely and there are so many directions to go in!  You can choose to focus on the colors, the stripes, or the repetition.  We look forward to seeing your creations!

and here's my take on the challenge:
I chose to work with color repetition in my card.  I used PTI's Background Basics Hearts and used Clearsnap's Cats Eyes ink for the background.  It's been quite a while since I played with my Little Bitty Birds Stamps and I thought this would be the perfect time to blow the dust off them and I'm glad I did!  These little birdies remain one of my very favorite PTI stamp sets!!  They are the cutest!
Since my background was fairly busy, I decided to cut out the branch using my Cricut and the Serenade Cartridge rather than stamp the branch.  It worked out perfectly!  I used the sentiment from Happy Trails and my card was complete!

Supplies used:
Papertrey Ink Paper: Stampers Select White Cardstock and Pure Poppy Cardstock
Papertrey Ink stamps:  Background Basics Hearts, Little Bitty Bird, Love Birds, Happy Trails
Clearsnap Cats Eyes Inks
Copic Markers:  R29 Lipstick Red, R24 Prawn, B24 Sky, and B21 Baby Blue
Patterned Paper: Jillibean Soup Home Made 6 Bean Soup 6x6 Pad

Thanks for stopping by!!
I hope you have a fabulous week!!

Little Red Scrapbook September Reveal

Happy Friday my friends!!  What a breath of fresh air to say that it's Friday!!  It has been a wonderful week and I am looking forward to a fantastic weekend!  Before the weekend arrives, however, I want to share my designs using the Little Red Scrapbook September Kit.  This month's kit at Little Red Scrapbook feature the Nantucket line by Pink Paislee.  Such a pretty line that reminds me of the time we spent in Washington with our kids.  I love the ocean.  It calls to me. I could gaze upon it's ever changing beauty all day long!

“It’s hard for me to put into words why I like the beach so much. Everything about it is renewing for me, almost like therapy... Beach Therapy.” - Amy Dykens
The photo was taken while we were walking along the beach in Port Townsend.  Such a beautiful place and when you're with your kids it's even more amazing!!

The first layout is of the kids and their "Adventure on the High Seas".  Actually it's the Puget Sound, but the high seas sound much more adventurous, lol!

The second layout is of the kids in their new boat... isn't this picture of their little family soooo cute!!!

The next layout is of the girls during our visit to the Hoh Rain Forest.  Such a beautiful place, and such beautiful girls!!!
and last but not least a fun little card using the kit:

Thanks for stopping by!!
Wishing you a fabulous weekend,

Fall is in the Air

Hi there friends!  I trust you are having a fabulous day!!!  It's a little warm here in Montana, but the air is nice and crisp in the mornings.  You can see a hint of color in the trees and you know that fall is definitely in the air!  This weekend I couldn't help but pull out all my fall decorations.  It seemed, however that my collection was missing a few things.  I don't know what I did with them, but I was motivated to grab my Glitz Design Laced with Grace papers and  make some new decorations to brighten up my walls!

I started with a fall quote, "Everyone must take time to sit and watch the leaves turn" by Elizabeth Lawrence, and then I pulled out my Serenade Cricut Cartridge and this is what I came with:
I played with the quote using Photoshop Elements and the Papyrus font and I really like the way it turned out.  I spritzed the background paper with Tattered Angels Coffee Shop Glimmer Mist to add some warmth to the rustic cream cardstock. I found the frame at Michael's for 40% off and I cut the tree trunk out of the backside of Love Games Floral paper to match the frame.
I cut the butterflies out of the Laced with Grace Butterflies paper and coated them with Tim Holtz Rock Candy Distress Crackle Paint.  The crackle paint added lots of texture and a little shine.  I took some tea dye distress ink and worked it into the cracks and crevices of the crackle paint and then I added some pearls to each of them.
I cut the tree out at 8 3/4 inches and I used several Laced with Grace Papers for the leaves.  I added Laced with Grace Whatnots and Glitzers to finish out the scene.
After I finished the first project, I thought it would be fun to make a little banner for the shelf that hangs near the wall art I just created, and here's what I came up with:

I cut out three pennants and covered them with Laced with Grace Papers and added a striped border to each of them.
I carried over the crackled butterfly to add some uniformity to my decorations.  I cut out some sweet little doilies out of rustic cream paper to mount them on and inked them all with tea dye ink.
I added some stitched felt leaves and die cut acorns.  I just love the sentiment on the banner, "Its the little things that matter most",  Isn't that so true?
I found the wreath at Joann's fabrics to complete the ensemble.   Ahhhh....the gloriousness of fall!  All I needed was a little Glitz Design Magic!!

Supplies used:
Glitz Design "Laced with Grace" Papers:  Floral, Stripe, Rose, and Butterflies
Glitz Design "Love Games" Papers: Floral
Glitz Design "Laced with Grace" Glitzers
Glitz Design "Laced with Grace" Whatnots
other supplies:  Papertrey Ink: Rustic Cream Cardstock, Autumn Acorns dies and stamps, Double-Edged Banner die, Gratitude Journal Stamps, Picket Fence Die, Banner Border Die, and Rustic Cream buttons and twine; Cricut Serenade Cartridge; Tattered Angels Coffee Shop Glimmer Mist; Tim Holtz Rock Candy Crackle Paint and Distress Tea Dye Ink; Recollections Pearls; Micheal's Frame.

Wishing you a very Glitzy Day!!
