Happy July!!!!

Wow, June flew right on by!!! I barely noticed it was there!! Now we are in the heart of summer and I am determined not to miss it!!! Anyone else know what I'm talking about???

I have been working on several projects over the last few days and it is time to share some of them with you!!!

So Sketchy

My days as a So Sketchy Sista have come to an end sadly enough! I loved being on the DT tremendously and will continue to play with Ally's amazing sketches in the days to come. I have one more project to post in the next few days....so stay tuned!! This layout was made with the amazing Webster's Pages Sweet as Cherry Pie line. I think it is my favorite of Webster's Pages yet!!! I can't wait to see what they have in store next!!

This 4th of July picture was taken in 1996. Aren't we a sweet little family!! I loved 4th of July in Greeley, Colorado!!! The parade, the Independence Stampede, and the fireworks all bring back fantastic memories of yesterday!!!

Color Me Daisy

This month's Color Me Daisy kit is absolutely fantastic!!! Check out all the goodness in the Summertime Fun kit!!!

This kit is brimming with possibilities!!!
My first layout with this kit I used the song from this month's Scrapping The Music song featuring Beautiful Sunday by Daniel Boone. If you haven't heard it before, stop by STM and check it out!! It has such a happy melody and lyrics that I just had to use my CMD kit for this layout!! The lyrics state: I think I'll take a walk in the Park.
Of course, my idea of a Park is Yellowstone National Park. We went to the "Park" last Saturday and had a very Beautiful Day!!! The picture of my sweetie and I holding hands signifies us taking that walk in the "Park". We happened upon a Momma black bear and she treated us to a tree climb to divert our attention away from her two cubs!!! Absolutely awesome!! And of course, no visit to YNP isn't complete without a stop at Old Faithful. We arrived 5 minutes before she was supposed to erupt and sure enough, she was faithful!!! "Hey, Hey, Hey It's a Beautiful Day!!!

Last but not least, is a little card set that we are making at Friday Cropper's Club. If you are interested, please click on the link in the upper right hand side of my blog.
We will be using OA goodies for the next couple of weeks at FCC. So stay tuned!!!
Thanks for stopping by!!! I promise to be a better blogger in the days to come!!!!

May the LORD make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you. Numbers 6:25

Have a great day,

Oh My.....

I can't believe so much time has gone by!!! I have been tremendously busy with AC Bailey events and enjoying every minute of it!!! I had a class and a crop last week and I have a class and a crop next week. I also have been busy making 50th anniversary cards for a friend of mine. How fun!!!!

I wanted to share this awesome picture of my dad and Heidi. Isn't this the sweetest picture ever?? I was inspired by a challenge over at two peas and I just wanted to keep the layout design simple so the picture could shine through. I love it!!
Scrapping the Music #91.

This week's song is based on Because of You by Kelly Clarkson. What an awesome title for a scrapbook page!!! Of course, I had to use my sweet hubby for inspiration!! He is my everything in this world. I am so blessed to have the best husband ever!!! I am free to be me because of Him!! I love you sweetie!!! Some Lily Bee goodness as well as Scenic Route and Jenni Bowlin.
I will be back after I am finished with the cards to visit everyone's blogs and to add pictures of my sweet dd's visit and her new puppy!!!

Thanks for stopping by!!!

The sun is shining, the birds are singing and it's my 25th wedding anniversary!!! Whoo hoo!!! Its hard to believe that my sweetie and I have been married so long, but then I look at my kids and I know it's true!! We have had a wonderful 25 years together. Things haven't always been easy, but I can truly say I love him more today than yesterday!!! We are very lucky and blessed!!! We have 3 amazing children, a fantastic son-in-law, two sweet dogs, a beautiful home and a deep love and friendship with each other!!! Priceless!!!

LRS News

I just loved the June Little Red Scrapbook kit!!! It is full of Pink Paislee goodies, and you know how much I love Pink Paislee!!! I also have to say that Sara, the owner of LRS, has an amazing eye for embellishments. You will have to check out LRS and see for yourself.
As you can see from my layouts, my boy has been on my heart. I really have had a difficult time scrapping lately. Thank goodness this kit was so easy to work with!!!! So without further ado, here are my June projects:

AC Bailey News

Today is going to be a happy mail day!!! I have a large shipment coming in from AC Bailey today!!! I am amazed how how quickly my stock flies out the door!!! I am extremely excited because I earned a consultant incentive and a gift certificate which enabled me to get these:

for free!!! Whoo hoo!!! AC Bailey is the best!!! I love this job!!! Not only do I get to share my passion for scrapbooking with others, but I get to play and earn fun things along the way!!
If you are ever interested in joining AC Bailey, email me at klockart@msn.com and I would love to tell you all about it!!!

My friend Melinda is having a party this week and she wanted to make a summery layout with lots of 4x6 pictures. I don't work with lots of 4x6 photos very often, so it was a great challenge. Here is the layout I created for her party:
It made me wonder if any of you use lots of 4x6 photos in your layouts. So I came up with this idea...

Challenge!!!

Create a 2 page layout with at least 5-4x6 photos!!! I would love to see what you come up with!!!

Leave a post in this thread with a link to your layout. You will have until June 30 to post your layout and I will draw the winner on July 1.

What will the winner receive??

A Mini Sassafrass Lass Bungle Jungle kit, a mini Album and a set of Thickers!!! Who can resist a mini Sassafrass Lass kit???

I hope everyone has a great day and I can't wait to see what you do with the challenge!!!

Good-bye

We spent a couple of days with Benny in Butte before he shipped off to Basic Training. We explored the rich history of Butte and just enjoyed spending time with our boy. My dad rode up from California to see him off as well....how awesome is that!! It was a bittersweet time, but we made the most of it! Here is a picture of Benny and I in the airport. He has since sent me a picture message of his new hair-do...he looks pretty good bald...and I thought his hair was short before, lol! I expect that I will be getting a phone call from him today telling me he made it to Fort Jackson ok. Then Basic training will truly begin. My heart is with him and my thoughts and prayers are continually for him. This is going to be a long 3 months!!!

LRS Sneaks!!!!!

I am so excited to show you my LRS sneaks!! This month's kit is overflowing with Pink Paislee goodness!!! Check out LRS on the Pink Paislee Blog here! You even have a chance to win a Little Red Scrapbook kit!!! Whoo Hoo!!!! How awesome is that???
Thanks for taking time to visit my blog!!!

I hope you have a fantastic weekend!!!

A Bittersweet Day!!!

Today is the first day of Summer vacation, Whoo hoo!!  It is also  the day we drive our son to Basic Training.  I can't say that without my eyes welling up with tears.  I am very proud of my boy and goodness knows that I will be on my knees in prayer constantly for the next 6 years!!!! Here is a picture of him with his sisters back in 1994.  What a cutie!!!  He was the happiest baby and a joy in our lives!!!  We have had our ups and downs, but he is a great son and I love him tremendously.  I am soooo proud of my boy!!!

Scrapping the Music #89.

This week's song is Our Town, by James Taylor.  I wasn't sure where I was going to go with this song, but when I saw the lyrics, "Time Brings Change", I knew I had to make a layout with my boy.  He has changed so much, especially in the last 6 months.  He is becoming  a man.  Wow, where has the time gone.  I used my STudio Calico kit for this one and it was perfect with all the little boy images!

Thank you for taking the time to stop by and I will be by your blogs in the next couple of days.  We will be gone with Benny until Wednesday.

Don't forget Friday Cropper's club is starting up this Friday.  Click on the prompt on the top right hand side of this page for more information!!!

See you all on Wednesday!!

Week 3

My sweetie and I have been practicing with the manual settings on our camera for this weeks lesson in Maggie Holmes photography class.  No more Auto-Mode for me!!!!  I love being in control of my camera!!!  I have learned so much, but the best part is not being afraid to play with the settings!!!  I am an overcomer!!!  Whoo hoo, it's a great feeling!!

The first 2 pictures are of Benny who I am having to take as many photos of as I can before he leaves for Basic Training....sniff, sniff!!!  We are practicing for those all important Senior photos that we are going to be taking ourselves.
Camera: Canon 10 D
Lens: 50 mm f/1.8
Shutter: 1/750
Aperture: f/4.5
ISO: 400

The second picture I changed the ISO.
Shutter: 1/350
Aperture: f/4.5
IS0: 200

The indoor shots were a little more tricky.  Charley was pretty sleepy, so he made a fine subject today!!!  The first one is a little lighter than the second one.  In the first picture you can see just how tired he is.
Shutter:  1/250
Aperture: f/1.8
ISO: 400
Awww....sweet puppy!!  It's a little darker, but I just love that face!!
Shutter: 1/45
Aperture:  f/5.6
ISO: 400
I am so loving this class!!!  Now that school is out, I will have lots more time to play with my camera!!!!  Whoo hoo!!

Thanks for stopping by!!
I will be posting again in the morning with my Scrapping the Music layout!!!
