Prickley Pear March Sketch Challenge

Welcome to our monthly sketch challenge with Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps.  Here is the fabulous sketch for this month, and I hope it inspires everyone to get some cardmaking and stamping done.
Here's my take on the sketch:

I used an awesome vintage stamp called "Play me a Tune".

Since the stamp was larger than the tag I used, I masked off the right side of the stamp and just used the little girl image for this particular sketch!   I plan on making another card with this stamp using the entire image very soon!!

Supplies Used:
Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps Play me a Tune
October Afternoon Farmhouse 8x8 pad
PTI Rustic Cream Paper and Fine Linen Buttons
Prima Floral
Hand Dyed Seam Binding from My Craft Spot

Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see your amazing creation in the Prickley Pear Rubber Stamp Sketch Challenge!!

CupCards {to Go}March Reveal

Hi there dear friends!!! I am so excited to bring you the CupCards {to Go}March Reveal!!!  This month's kit, Hillside, is all about spring!!  The papers are fun and cheery!  They're just what you need to brighten your day!!!   Here's the kit:
My first card uses the lovely yellow gingham pattern in the kit:
When I first saw the Paper, I thought of a baby nursery!  Of course, I had to get out my Papertry Ink Night, Night Moon and Sweet Baby and Sweet Spring Stamps.
The bakers twine matched PTI's Berry Sorbet Ink perfectly!!!  I just love all the little goodies that come in each month's kits.  The little brads are absolutely fabulous touches!!!
The stickers that are included in the kit are absolutely fabulous and are so inspiring in the creation of each and every card!!
This card is based on this month's sketch.  I was pretty excited to find that the sentiment sticker worked perfect with the sketch!!
I used a PTI Doily Die as the base for the sticker and embellished with felt roses made with My Favorite Things Dies.  I added some of the beautiful brads to the roses to add that special touch!
The next card was made combining two stickers from the kit.  I just loved the colors of both stickers and had to add them to a pink background to make the card pretty and special!!  One little note, I scrunched one of the little flowers in the kit to add to the center of the bow.  It just adds a little sparkle and fun to the project, rather than just a flat flower gracing the center!
I also added ribbon from the kit, a scrunched seam binding ribbon and doily to complete this very easy and sweet card.
I wanted to make a boys card out of these fun papers and I had some fun interactive PTI dies that I was dying to use!!
I used the sticker from the kit to set the tone of the card...what boy wouldn't love a "Super Star" on his card?  I pulled out my PTI Flyaway stamps and dies along with a PTI cloud die.
Pull the tag on the card and you will find a fun little message which reads, "Wishing you a birthday as special as you are!"
The last card I made with this kit was for the CupCards {to Go} challenge.  We were to use the red diamond transparency paper with the cute little arrow sticker stack.  I used the transparency as a mat and I used the arrows as bow tails under the flowers.
I, once again, used the stickers as the motivation for my card.  I just loved each and every one of the stickers!!  I added a PTI Coverplate Quatrefoil die panel to the base and added some flowers, handcut butterflies, button and twine, PTI Parisian Lace Doily, ribbon and Recollections Pearls.

This kit was so fun and easy to work with!!! I absolutely loved it!!
Thanks for joining me in the reveal!!

Prickley Pear Mondays - Spring

Happy Monday everyone!!  Today is the first official day of spring break and wouldn't you know we'd wake up to a layer of snow on the ground!  Isn't that the way it goes?  The high is expected to be 55 degrees with a lot of wind, so it is going to warm up, thank goodness!!

With the layer of snow on the ground, what better way to warm things up than with a spring themed card?
I used Prickley Pear Rubber Stamp's Spring Stamp for today's card:

The coloring possibilities with this stamp are endless!!!  I used October Afternoon's Sidewalks papers for this project and used the colors from the papers as my inspiration:

CupCards {to go} Sneaks

Happy Saturday everyone!!! What a gorgeous day it is here in Southwestern Montana!!  Today is the first day of Spring Break and I am so excited I can barely contain myself!!  I am looking forward to resting, relaxing, reading, crafting, baking...oh yes, a little cleaning...but only a little cleaning!  I have been so tired and worn out lately, this little break is just what I need to get energized once again!

Speaking of energizing, this month's CupCards {to go}kit has added a little zip to my mojo!!  Those of you who follow my blog know that I have been struggling with life issues lately and my mojo has been non existent.  Well between the kit and my new PTI goodies, I think it has been found!!! Whooo hooo!  What a good feeling that is!!  I have a couple of sneaks just to show you it's true!!
The ribbon in the previous card is probably my favorite ribbon in the kit.  Such pretty color and delicate design!! It is truly beautiful!!
The sheet of stickers in this kit is fabulous!! All of my cards were inspired by these stickers!!  There are also several sweet little brads that add "just the right touch" to the elements!
This is a fun little interactive card!! I can't wait to show  you how it works!!!

Thanks for stopping by!! I can't wait until the full reveal which will be on Monday, March 12 at 6:00 pm EST.  Until then, I wish you a glorious day!!!

Prickley Pear Mondays - Build a Bird 2 and Small Bunny with Egg

Happy Monday sweet friends!  I hope you had a wonderful weekend!  My weekend was absolutely fabulous!  I read an entire book, cleaned my scrap room, did laundry, washed windows, and cleaned bathrooms.  It feels good to have so many chores accomplished and I'm so glad I took some time to read!!! Reading always seems to get pushed to the end of the list and I forget how much I like to read!  I also spent some time playing with some fabulous Prickley Pear Rubber stamps and had a blast!  This week I chose to use the Build a Bird set and the Small Bunny with Egg:
isn't he the cutest?  Here's my take with this adorable stamp:
I used Rhonna Farrer's Follow Your Heart papers and chipboard by My Mind's Eye which are perfect for Easter and Spring.
The trees and sentiment come from the Build a Bird Set and work perfectly with the sweet little bunny!
I also used the SSSC153 sketch below:

Prickley Pear Mondays - Mini Butterflies

Happy Monday dear friends!!  I had a wonderful weekend and I hope you did too!  I have had a bit of a dry spell, but I am slowly feeling my mojo return!  I decided it would be best to work with some of my favorite stamps and papers and see what my heart could do.  Prickley Pear's Mini Butterflies Clear Stamp Set is one of my favorites these days and I teamed them up with my favorite papers by Rhonna Farrer- Follow Your Heart papers by My Mind's Eye.
Don't you just love the Mini Butterfly stamps....they are soooo pretty!! I stamped them onto patterned paper using black ink...sigh....just what I need to jump start the mojo!!
This card is full of layers and little details!  I used a Stampin Up embossing folder to emboss a piece of white cardstock and layered it over a PTI Berry Sorbet card base.  The design idea was motivated by the Case Study #79 Challenge.  The muse for this month has been the amazingly talented  Karola Witczak.

Supplies Used:
Prickley Pear's Mini Butterflies Clear Stamp Set
Rhonna Farrer's Follow Your Heart Patterned Papers and embellishments by My Mind's Eye
Papertrey Ink Stampers Select White and Berry Sorbet Cardstock
Stampin Up Framed Tulips Embossing Folder
Tim Holtz Tea Dye Ink

Thanks for stopping by and I wish you an amazing week!!
