Back to School!!

Happy Monday dear friends!! Yes, it's the first day of school for staff and I'm feeling a little bittersweet.  I always love the first days of school, but this summer has been so good I truly hate to see it end.  One thing is for sure, here in the valley, you can certainly feel a hint of autumn in the air.  It is a bit cooler in the morning and the evening and the days are a little shorter.  You just gotta love it!!  Fall is such a beautiful time of the year!

I wanted to share the rest of the tags with you today!  I had so much fun making them and I have a couple saved back to share with my coworkers this morning!!

I used PTI's Library Card Tag die for the base of the tag and the Library Card Mini Stamp Set for the insert.

I used PTI's Teach and Inspire, School Time, Autumn Acorns, Fruit Fusion Apple and Tag-Its #6 stamp sets in these projects.

PTI Supplies Used:
Stamper's Select White Cardstock

Pure Poppy, Summer Sunrise, Enchanted Evening, Spring Rain, Dark Chocolate, and Simply Chartreuse Ink
Button Twine
Cream Felt
Pure Poppy Saddle Stitch Ribbon

Papertrey Ink August Blog Hop!!!!

Happy Saturday dear friends!!  It's time for the Papertrey Ink Blog Hop and I truly didn't think I was going to have time to participate.  I was right in the middle of making back to school goodies for Farmer's Market and  of those sweet little I was running out of time!  I decided I would revisit the sweet little Tag Book that Melissa Phillips introduced during Stamp-A-Faire.  I just loved that sweet little book and thought I could make it work and continue working on Farmer's Market goodies!

Here's the challenge:

This month's inspiration is all about autumn patterns, textures & textiles.  Think warm & cozy woolens, houndstooth, tweed, burlap, felt, corduroy. herringbone and even argyle.  You can create your own custom patterns & textures with stamps or impression plates.  Or you can incorporate actual fabrics, felt, yarn and other textiles in a creative way.  Have fun experimenting and perhaps stepping out of your creative box.
So, I was busy making the tags and thought, how am I going to fit in the challenge.  Pull out the blue, add an impressed ..base, and keep the felt pocket.  Here's what I came up with:
I used the sunburst impression plate for the background and used Enchanted Evening for the main color with some splashes of other primary colors for fun.  I chose the acorn because it represented fall which the challenge totally screams fall!!

You can see all of the different tags I made in the photo below.  The blue was a great change of pace!!
I'll post close-ups of the rest of the tags tonight or tomorrow.  I have Farmer's Market in the Morning and my sweetie and I are heading out to Lava Lake right after.  It will be a grueling hike - 6 miles round trip with a 1400 ft. elevation gain!!  I hear the views are worth it!! I'll let you know what I think!!
Hope you have a fabulous day!!!

Little Girls and Pink Paislee

Oh sweet friends, I want to say happy Friday, but it's the last Friday before school starts.  I am so not ready this year.  I have been so busy creating and hiking, I haven't had time to do all the other things I wanted to get done before school starts!  Oh well, who wants to clean anyway? Not me obviously!!
I've been creating another class with Pink Paislee's London Market Line using Lisa Pace's Sweet Little Girls Stamps by Pink Persimmon.  I think the Sweet Little Girls stamps are my all time favorite stamps ever!!  They are so sweet and so aptly named!!  If you haven't seen them yet, here they are:
They absolutely tickle my heart they're so cute!!  I decided it would be fun to make a little gift project with these cutie pies!
I searched the internet for a poem and found this one by Karen Barnes.  I just love coloring these sweet little girls!!  Brings out my inner child if you know what I mean!!

The frame is from Target  and I added some little scallops around the edge of the print using PTI's Heart Border Die.

I used the following Copics:
What a fun little gift to give to a new mom or a family with daughters!!

Thanks for stopping by!!
I wish you an absolutely fabulous day,

CupCards {to go} August Reveal

Good morning sweet friends!! It's been crazy around here, but we are having the best summer ever!!  We've climbed mountains, camped with friends, visited our kids, cooked together, fished together....it's been a great summer and I'm so sad to see it come to a close.  Even though school starts on Monday, I'm looking forward to a most excellent fall!  We will try to get in a few more good hikes and we plan on visiting our kids again in October!!  Fall also brings amazing colors and Yellowstone National Park and all the beauty that holds!  I'm totally looking forward to the days ahead!!  What exciting days they will be!!  I'm so excited to share that I have some collaborations in motion with Pink Persimmon Stamps!!  I'm looking forward to sharing more with you in the days to come!!

In the meantime, I've been having a ton of fun with the August CupCards {to go} kit!!  What a pretty little kit it is!!  Introducing Petunia!!!
I had so much fun with this little kit and the truth is I'm still have more projects in store for this kit!!  I wish there was more time in the day to play, that's for sure!! The first card features this month's sketch:
The papers in this kit are so beautiful!! I have never used Magnolia papers before, but as you can tell with this butterfly paper, it's goreous!!
The tags included in the kit are absolutely gorgeous too! Soooo shiny and pretty!  Oh, and the ribbon and flowers are sooooo very beautiful too!! This kit is just as beautiful as can be!!
You gotta love Chevrons and seam binding ribbon!! The combination along with a butterfly and resin rose totally makes me swoon!!  The following card is my favorite card made with the kit!!!  I just love the magnolia papers and I added a couple of butterflies and flowers and sigh....so summery and pretty!
The next card was inspired from the sentiments in the kit.  I used an older paper from a previous CC2G kit and made a little house and layered it on top of the beautiful doilies included in the kit.

I cheated and took a couple of flowers from the pink ribbon and created a sweet little floral border!  Love that ribbon!!!  Makes me so happy!!
I am so proud of this card!  It is totally out of my comfort zone, but I layered the stickers included in the kit and added a stamped border and I'm totally happy with the results!  It's good to get out of my box on occasion!!

I loved this kit and I know you will too!! I'm sure the kits won't be around for long, so hurry on over to CupCards {to go} and get yours today!!  You'll be glad you did!!

I'll be seeing you soon with more goodies to share!
I hope you have a wonderful day!

Home Decor with Glitz Design!!

Good Morning sweet friends!!  Most of you have never been to my home and I would be embarrassed to have you visit.  I'm a paper crafter and yet, my walls are pretty bare.  In all honesty, I've made quite a few wall art pieces over the past year, but they have all sold as fast as I've made them, which is a good thing for sure!!  However, bare walls are not a good thing.  Today's post features some items I've made with my favorite Glitz Design papers from the winter release, Happy Travels!!  The teal and red colors are perfect for home decor!

The first piece is a fun little Home Sweet Home Banner:
I layered some rustic cream pennants with a smaller teal pennant and added a sweet little doily and house die cut.  The loopy bows are made with Happy Travels papers, twine and rolled flowers.  So easy to make and very festive to hang!
You can see all the dimension in the bows from this angle!! I love them!  I made a matching little primitive piece of wall art:
based on the verse - "Love your neighbor as yourself".  I hand-cut the houses and added a cute little Happy Travels Glitzer.

For the final piece in the grouping, I took some old blocks that my son used to play with years ago and stacked them like houses and added die cut letters for the "God Bless Our Home" quote.  Way fun and so very cost effective!!!
I adhered the letters with Zip Dry so I can change the letters at any time without any damage to the blocks.  I'm really liking this simple way to dress up a shelf and the cost totally fit in my summer budget!

Here's the whole ensemble together:
Now I have some color on my walls!! Whooo hooooo!  I just love it when it all comes together!!

Supplies Used:
Glitz Design Happy Travels Papers:  Planes, Bicycle, Polka, Stripes and Floral
Glitz Design Happy Travels Glitzers
Glitz Design Teeny Alpha Teal Stickers
Other Supplies:  Papertrey Ink Rustic Cream Cardstock, Papertrey Ink Boxy Banner Dies, Papertrey Ink Love, Lives Here Dies, Papertrey Ink Loopsy Daisy Dies, MFT Rolled Roses Dies, Papertrey Ink Modern Alpha Dies, Papertrey Ink Heart 2 Heart #6 Dies, Papertrey Ink Simply Chartreuse Felt, Lace from my stash

A Little Shabby Goodness!

Happy Sunday Sweet Friends!!  I hope you're all having the best weekend!!  I'm busy in my basement studio getting kits ready to mail tomorrow!! That's right!  All my kits sold out and I'm already dreaming of my next little kit offering!!  I'm so excited and you can be sure I'm doing a little happy dance downstairs where no one can see me!  Lol!!  I've been so busy, that I haven't had time to post a little card I made using The Shabby Tea Room's week #127 challenge.  Here's the challenge:

Hello shabby friends and welcome to another fun week of inspiration and creativity here in the Tea Room!  This week Rebekah is our creative host and she has chosen the theme of 'For The Love of Books' along with this beautiful photo for inspiration and Rebekah asks that you create a card or project inspired by the photo USING CREAM, AQUA, PINK and NEWSPRINT!
and here's my take on the challenge:
I used Pink Persimmon's Sweet Little Girls stamps along with Pink Paislee's London Market Papers.  Speaking of Pink Persimmon stamps, you are going to see me playing a lot more with their stamps!! I will be working on new cards and projects featuring their stamps in the days to come!! I can't wait!!

Well, I hope you all have a wonderful week!! I'm going to enjoy my last few days off that's for sure!!!  Thank you so much for taking time to visit my blog!!! I appreciate you all
so very much!!!

Hybrid Goodness with Glitz Design

Happy Monday dear friends!!  I don't know if you have heard, but Glitz Design has come out with another digital kit.  The Glitz Design Hoopla Digital Kit is now available at jessicasprague.com and it's as fun as can be!  Here's a peek at the kit:
So many fun papers and elements and the colors are way fun too!  I chose to use the Aqua Polka Dot paper and one of the paper layers in my first card:
I printed out each of the papers and then I re-sized the paper layer to make the birthday cake a little bigger.  I printed out the larger image, fussy cut the birthday cake and glued it to the already trimmed Paper Layer on the card base.  I just love the colors in the birthday cake!  Oh so pretty and inspiring!
I wanted to pull the pink out in the cake, so I stamped the Paper Layer with little pink roses.  I added a little birthday tag, filigree border, and seam binding ribbon to bring it all together!  I am totally loving  these digital kits!! They are so fun to manipulate and change according to each and every project you make!

Supplies Used:
Glitz Design Hoopla Digital Kit
Papertrey Ink Rustic Cream Cardstock, The Sweet Life Stamps and Filigree Border Die
Seam Binding, Flowers and butterfly from my stash

The second card was made using Paper Layer 2 from the French Kiss Digital Elements Kit.  I adjusted the color in PSE to a lovely pink and printed it out twice.
I fussy a sewing machine from one of the Paper Layers and used pop dots to adhere it to the sewing machine stand on the other Paper Layer to give the image some added dimension!!  Way fun!!!
I added a Pretty in Pink Glitzer to the background and layered several die cuts over the top including a fun little stamped dress form.  I also added a little flourish die, seam binding bow and a little angel wing for some added sweetness!

Supplies Used:
Glitz Design French Kiss Digital Elements
Glitz Design Pretty In Pink Glitzers
Glitz Design Beautiful Dreamer Floral Paper
Lawn Fawn Sew Lovely Stamps
Papertrey Ink Fancy Flourishes Stamps and Dies; Rustic Cream Cardstock; Button Card Die, Dress Form Die,
Lace, Buttons and Seam Binding from my stash

Thanks for stopping by!!!
I wish you a very Glitzy Day,
