Panthers Win!!!!

Whoo hoo!!! What an awesome Senior night it was!!! The Bozeman Chronicle reports that both our Boys and Girls soccer teams are playoff bound!!!! Whoo hoo!! It will be the first time we are in the playoffs since Benny's freshman year!! It was an extremely exciting and tense game. Both teams were on top of the ball and the score was 0-0 at the half. In the second half the game was tied at 1-1 when Coach Plante called a midfield strike from defender Brandon Walton. Livingston goalie misjudged the ball and it bounced over his head and rolled into the goal!!!! See the Bozeman Daily Chronicle for more info on the game!!! It was a total team effort and I think that Benny played his best game ever. He was all over the field and fought tooth and nail every step of the way!!! What an awesome way to celebrate Senior Night!!!!

It's Senior Night!!!!

Whoo hoo!!!! Tonight is Senior Night at Belgrade High School!!!!

This poster will hang up on Benny's locker today!!! If they win, they should be on their way to their first playoff game since 2006!!!!! Give it all you got Panthers!!!!

AC Bailey Crop!!!!

I just finished up a 2 day AC Bailey Open House and I had a blast!!! Thank you to all who came and made it such a success!!! You all rock and I hope to see you all again very soon!!!!

My kids are so lucky to have each other!!!! They are very blessed indeed!!!! The beautiful photo was taken by my good friend Susan Beth Breuner!!! Isn't she fantastic!!

Happy Friday!!!!

It's the second day of my AC Bailey mini open house and things are hoppin!!! We are having a blast and I hope that if you are out in the neighborhood, you stop on by!!!

We are making some way fun Christmas Cards using Tim Holtz's Rock Candy Crackle Paint!! If you haven't seen how the Rock Candy Crackle paint works you will have to stop on by and give it a try!!! Scrapping the Music's Challenge this week is based on the song, Up, by Shania Twain. Such a fantastic song to scrap right now as things can only go up from here!!!

A friend of mine shared this quote with me. "Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass, It's about learning to dance in the rain." What a great quote!!! I need to remember it when things seem difficult and life is full of troubles!! I need to get dancin!!!! I hope this quote speaks to your heart too!!!

We travel to Billings on Saturday for soccer and we are hoping our boys can crush Central once again!!! Goooooo Panthers!!!

Time has a way....

of changing things!! It is so hard to believe that a year has gone by since my mom's passing. So many things have happened in the past year that I never would have expected, Wow!! No one counts on a loved one going to heaven, 3 salary decreases and a loss of benefits, and a son enlisting in the military, and yet all these things happened in the span of a year! Needless to say, we are in the process of restructuring. Physically, spiritually, and emotionally we are rebuilding. I look forward to what the Lord has in store, because I feel we can only go up from here!! My verse for the day is found in Psalms 33: 20-22

We wait in hope for the Lord;

he is our help and our shield.

In Him our hearts rejoice,

for we trust in His Holy Name,

May your unfailing love rest upon us, O Lord,

even as we put our hope in you.

I trust in you Lord. You are in control!!!

In response to restructuring and rebuilding, I am cutting back on some things. Regretfully, I am going to have to resign from the Color Me Daisy Design Team. I have loved Michelle's kits and she has been amazing to work with!! I will miss the wonderful Design Team at Color Me Daisy, but I know Michelle will find an amazing new addition to fill my place! Good luck everyone!!

I am also expanding my AC Bailey Store hours to Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays with late hours on Thursdays and Fridays. Check out Kristii Lockart Designs Blog for more info!!! I have been working day and night to add some fun new classes and supplies to the store!!! Don't forget the Open House coming up the 24th and 25th of September. It will be a small affair that will prepare for the Grand Opening in October!! I am planning on doing a demonstration using Tim Holtz's new Rock Candy Crackle Paint and distress stickles!!! Little Red Scrapbook Sneaks!!!

Happy Monday every0ne!!! This has been the quite a week!!! Lots of traveling, soccer and scrapping!!! We have traveled around 1,000 miles in the past two weekends and the boys have won 3 and have lost 2 . It has been very exciting here in the valley as our boys beat Billings Central 1-0 for the first time in school history. Belgrade scored the first goal and then played defense the rest of the game. The shot totals were 1-17. Amazing!!! Way to go Panthers!!! This week is homecoming week and we have games on Thursday and Friday. The best part is, we only have to travel 60 miles this week!! Yay, I'm exhausted!!!

Benny is playing very well and my sweetie took some good pictures this week!!!

Whoo hoo!!! We are headed to Columbia Falls and Libby for a soccer road trip!!! These will be Benny's first games his senior year and he is chomping at the bit to play!!!

Time keeps ticking away....

I am really wishing there were more hours in the day for all of the things I would love to do!!! Everytime I think I am settling in, something else is thrown into the loop!! I think it is going to be crazy until after soccer season is over....but I am not in a hurry for it to end, that's for sure!!

I just can't believe this will be Benny's last season!! It is going to fly by!! Senior night is the 29th of September and that means I had better get to work on his Senior Poster!!! We have to order caps, gowns and invitations next week, so I have to have some kind of clue what I will be doing for graduation too!! Oh my, it is all so overwhelming!!

Well, at least I have my Cropper's Clubs planned for September!! The dates and times are listed in the upper right-hand corner!! Here is a preview of upcoming classes that I will be featuring at Copper's Club in September!!!

Scrapping the Music was fun this week!!! The song was Mr. Blue Sky by ELO and everytime I thought about the lyrics, it made me think of how my sweet dh is my bright spot in this world!! He is my Mr. Blue!!! In these pictures, he was doing a handstand on top of the world on our honeymoon and things have never changed. He makes me smile, makes me laugh, and is the joy in my life!! I love you sweetie!!!

Catching Up!!!

I have so much to catch up on, including my sleep!!! I can't believe how much that trip to South Carolina wore me out!! School started this week, so Monday through Wednesday was extremely busy!! I worked only a half day today, went to MSU with Heidi, and came home and took a nap I am feeling much better now!!! What a difference a nap makes!!!

I didn't get a chance to post my Scrapping the Music layout for this week before school started. This week's song is I Would Stay and is STM's 100th Challenge!!! Whoo hoo!!! Happy 100 songs STM!! I chose to scrap the graduation picture I took of Benny on Parent's day and I chose the lyrics I have to learn, have to try, have to trust, have to see, have to know that I can Be Myself. Benny had to do all of those things at Basic Training and he has grown tremendously!!!

My friends over at AC Bailey have been having some fun with a Summer Shades Swapp! Each participant takes a picture in the shades, and then creates a layout featuring the picture and sends them to the next person on the list. This week it is my turn!!! What do you think???

Benny is Home!!!!!

What a glorious day!!! Benny arrived home from South Carolina yesterday afternoon after a long two days of traveling. Whoo hoo!!! He is soooo happy to be home!! I flew into Belgrade at 11:30 yesterday evening after a very long day of flying and I am sooooo happy to be home too!! Benny and I had a wonderful time on Family day at Fort Jackson. I cried tears of joy when I saw him for the first time!!! We toured, talked, shopped, played mini golf, bowled, and totally enjoyed our time together!! I just have to say how proud I am of my boy!!! He showed discipline and maturity and became a squad leader at the tender age of 17, what an accomplishment!!! We are so proud of you son!!!!

Graduation Day!!!

What an exciting day!!! I didn't see much of Benny on Graduation Day, but that was ok! We had such a great time on Family Day and I knew that I would see him at home very soon!!!

Life will return to normal tomorrow as I go back to work at the school!! I am sooo ready to get back into a routine!! Benny will be going to soccer practice tomorrow morning at 8:00, whoo hoo!!!! I think it is all going to work out and Benny couldn't be happier!!

With my late arrival into town yesterday, I wasn't able to finish up my Scrapping the Music layout until late tonight. I will take pictures of it tomorrow and get it posted asap!!!

It's Monday!

I hope you are all having a happy day!! I have been looking forward to this week all summer long!!! I get to see Benny on Thursday!!! I fly out to South Carolina on Wenesday and I will be there for Parent Day on Thursday!!! Benny's graduation is on Friday and I fly back home on Saturday!! Gooooo Benny!!!! I just can't wait to see him!! I have been watching Parent Day videos and it is very moving!! I am bringing a box of kleenex with me that's for sure!!! Until then, I have library training today and tomorrow and then I have to report to the school on Monday. I am pretty sure I will at least have half days in the Library and for that I am very thankful!!! We are trusting the Lord regarding insurance and income!! Things are still sooooo hard!! I trust it is all going to work out, but it will only be by the grace of God that's for sure!!!

If you get a chance during your day, please pray for Benny. He is missing soccer tryouts this week and there is a good chance that he will not make the team. That will be so sad with it being his senior year. As a mom, I really hope it works out, but I just have to remember that it was his choice to join the military his junior year instead of his senior year! He really is flourishing there, so for that I am really grateful!!!

It seems like all we do right now is work just to stay afloat in these difficult economic times and I want him to know that I miss him. Miss the time we used to have together. I hope things will brighten up soon!! We so need a break!!!

Well, I am off to work!!! I still have to post my vacation photos and Little Red Scrapbook layouts, so I will be back later on tonight! I also have to visit all of your blogs! It is time to be organized again!!!

Hello from Seattle, Washington!! We are having a blast with our kids and I just wanted to quickly check in and say a quick hello and post some Little Red Scrapbook sneaks!!!!

Will wonders never Cease???

I just can't believe that we are nearing the end of July!! Part of me is sad!! Summer is almost over and I just love the summer. Part of me is glad, because that means that Benny will be home soon!!!! I just can't wait!!! It seems a lot of my pages are of Benny these days!! I miss him so much and last week when I talked with him, he just seemed so downcast.

We did receive a letter from him on Friday and it was the sweetest, most heartfelt letter he has sent to date!!! At first, when I got the letter, I was so excited!!! I was going to go home and savor every bit of it!! Then, when I got home and read the envelope, I realized it was specifically for my husband! What a let down, ha ha!!! I couldn't wait for my sweetie to arrive home so he could share it with me! The letter was amazing!!! He has grown up so much in these past months! He thanked his dad for being the dad he is and told him that he wouldn't be the man he is today without him. Wow!! These two are so much alike and they go round and round sometimes and to have Benny honor his dad like that was truly amazing. He also went on to say that he and the Lord have built up quite a relationship...Wow!!! Exactly what I have been praying for!!! We treasure each and every letter we have received from our son and this week's letter just that much more!! What a blessing!!

Scrapping the Music

How amazing it was that the song this week is Good Guys Win by Jimmy Buffet. The first line of the song states, "So you're lookin for a hero". Of course, I had to take the hero out of that line and scrap about Our Hero!!! The pictures are of his swearing in and of the first time he tried on his uniform. The airmail envelopes have significant meaning as he was told by some of the guys in his platoon that if he put 2 stamps on his letters, that would make them "Air Mail" and they would get to us faster, lol!!! We couldn't figure out why he kept putting two stamps on his mail and then I finally got a chance to ask him....he just shook his head and laughed and so did we!! Too funny!! I will stick all the letters we have received from him inside those envelopes for safe keeping and for future reading pleasure. I just love my boy!!! He is amazing! He is our hero!!!

Friday Cropper's Club

We had a blast at Friday Cropper's Club!! My friend Erika brought her Scripture Challenge project with her and worked on a sweet Baby Album for her sweet baby boy due in the next few weeks!! I can't wait to see her album full of pictures of her sweet little bundle of joy!!!

My dear friend Cindy and Melinda worked on an array of projects!!!! By the way, you would never believe they are mother and daughter!!! Which one is the mother???? They both are beautiful, inside and out!!!

I thoroughly enjoyed these ladies!!! We had the best time visiting and scrapping together and that's what Friday Cropper's Club is all about!!!! (I think I owe all three of them couselor fees though...they rock!!!)

This is my Scripture Challenge layout. The word was Immutable meaning God is unchanging.

These are the seasons of change....being empty nested, my dh taking significant paycuts at his main job, Benny off at Boot Camp, losing part of my School hours and I'm not sure if I will have any hours at all....... I can be certain that God never changes. He always stays the same!!!
