Happy Friday dear friends!! I have to say that I am on cloud nine today!!! Whoooo hooooo!!! The news is out and I am a Top 20 Finalist in the Gallery Idol Competition!!!! I still have to pinch myself to make sure that I'm not dreaming. What an honor and I do have to say that it doesn't matter what happens from here on out, I am just so amazed and thankful to have made the first cut. I just hope that I can step up to the next level of the challenge! I'm going to give my all and we'll see what happens!!
While I contemplate DIY embellishments, I want to post a card I made for the Stamp It! Cards Week Challenge. I have some new stamps by one of my favorite stamp artists, Melissa Bickford, and I wanted to make a fun little card using them!
Here's the challenge:
Create a card in which stamping is the predominant element.
Here's my take on the challenge:
I used Papertrey Ink's Sweet Baby Stamps by Melissa Bickford. I just love the sweet little giraffe image!!! It's perfect for a baby card and I'm even seeing a first birthday card in the future! I wanted to change things up a bit and use a fun color combination!! I stamped the giraffe image in Fresh Snow ink onto Lemon Tart Cardstock and then I inked the edges very heavily since it is very subtle on the yellow cardstock. The sentiment is from the same set with the addition of "welcome" from Night, Night Moon. I also used Night, Night Moon to stamp the background behind the giraffe. I just love mixing and matching stamp sets and it is so easy to do with PTI stamps!!
I stamped the sentiment with black ink onto the background layer first and again onto a piece of computer paper. I cut out the stamped image from the computer paper and used it to mask the sentiment while I stamped the background image with Versamark Ink onto the card. I love the subtle image the Versamark Ink creates!
PTI Supplies Used:
Stamps: Sweet Baby; Night, Night Moon; Background Basics: Hearts
Dies: Sweet Baby, Heart Prints and Banner Borders
Cardstock: Rustic Cream, Kraft, Aqua Mist, and Lemon Tart

I hope you all join in the fun and take part in this challenge!!
Stamping is the best form of relaxation that I know!!!
Have a wonderful day!
