CupCards to Go April Kit

Good Morning Friends!!  I am happy to announce that a new CupCards to Go Kit is now available!! The kit, Hats On, is filled with tons of party goodies and and sweet little embellies that will totally make you smile!!  My first card is a fun little birthday card made with the sweetest little cupcake sticker I have ever seen!! And did I mention the sweet little ribbon!!  I positively love all the little embellies in this kit!!
Oh and did I forget to mention all the cute little flowers in this kit?  Pure sweetness!!
The next card is a fun little Thank you note created with layers of embellies!!  I love this kit!!
So much fun!!!  I added some little stamped leaves to the flowers which also tied in the green from the layers and the patterned paper.
This card is my favorite from the kit.  I used the sweet patterned paper and the little cupcake star sticker and added a fun little happy birthday die and to top it off I added some orange baker's twine from the kit!! Love!!
That little cupcake sticker is soooo cute!!
My last card for today is created with the wooden themed patterned paper in the kit.  Every time I looked at that paper, I thought of a birdhouse.  Of course, I had to add birds and I used one of the sweet little labels in the kit!!
Please stop by CupCards to Go and check out the Hats On! Kit!!  You're gonna love it!!!

Papertrey Ink Anniversary Challenges

Happy Valentine's Day dear friends!! I 'm so excited that I was able to get a couple of cards done for the Papertrey Ink Anniversary Challenge and share them with you!! Here's the first challenge:
The-challenge
In honor of Betsy's new Dress Up Dolls, go through your closet or explore a favorite clothing store online and select a piece of clothing or outfit to use as inspiration for a project.  Whether you select something simple or a bit more complex, this is sure to be a fun one!  Be sure to share a photo of your inspiration somewhere in your blog post too!
And here's my take on the challenge:
My sweet daughter Heidi's birthday was this week and I created a birthday card based on her love of gold accents.   She is planning a destination wedding in Mexico and at a recent Bridal Affair we saw a beautiful pink dress with gold accents and the inspiration for this card was born.
Sparkly Gold + Pink. Yes, please!:
I added a Lovely Lady diagonal striped background and die cut the sentiment.  The gold accents totally make me smile!! They will always make me think of my sweet Heidi girl!!   I had some fun water coloring an ombre background with Hibiscus Pink Ink and die cut a Papertrey Ink Primitive heart as the focal point.  I layered the heart on a while and gold heart and then I used the florals from the Fresh Floral Wrap as accents and added a few layered butterflies.  Such a fun and happy birthday card!!

and the next challenge I had fun with was:
The-challenge
We've put a little something fun together for you today in honor of the last day of our anniversary countdown!  We present the Paper Crafting Alphabet Challenge!  Use anywhere from the first three to ALL of the letters in your first or last name.  Write the letters in a single column on a piece of scratch paper and then use the chart below as a reference for each of those letters, making notes about what you need to incorporate into your project.  If you have a "double" letter, skip the duplicate letter and move onto the next letter in your name.  Use your first or last name, depending on which one has a more interesting array of letters.  If you want to keep things simple, just use the first three letters of your name, if you want something more complex and challenging use all of the letters in your name!  And most importantly, have fun!
I had a lot of fun with this challegne!!  I used my last name:
L - Lean my sentiment at an angle
O - Incorporate some kind of ombre - I used ink on my background panel to create the ombre effect
C - Use at least 5 colors - Kraft, Sweet Blush, Cream, Spring Moss, Autumn Rose and Cream
K- Use Kraft Cardstock
A - Add a border - I layered a cream panel on top of my kraft cardstock to create the border effect
R - Round all or some of your corners
T - Tie on some twine

It was a great challenge and it gave me an excuse to break open my Bold Blossom Stamp set and dies!!
Thanks for stopping by!!  I hope you have a wonderful day!!

Papertrey Ink Anniversary Challenge: Grab & Craft

Good evening dear friends!! I'm so excited that I was able to get home early enough tonight to participate in one of the Papertrey Ink Anniversary Challenges!!  I can't tell you how good it feels to get a little crafty during this busy work season!!  I see a little light at the end of the tunnel, but still have a lot to do!! I will try to get in as much crafty time as possible!!  Here is the challenge:
The-challenge
Since we introduced the return of the Grab Bag today, we thought it would be fun to do a "Grab & Craft" challenge!  So, set a timer for 5 minutes and *grab* supplies for your project. Don't think about it too much, just grab what inspires you!  But don't grab too much!  You need to utilize everything you grab to create a project!
And here's my take on the challenge:
I tell you what, this was a hard challenge for me!! I thought it might be a good time to make a male themed card since it was a quick grab and go challenge and I am pretty happy with the results!! I grabbed my favorite PTI Happy die, a PTI Wreath For All Seasons birthday stamp, a wooden arrow, a black marker and ink pad along with a PTI banner die.  I also grabbed some Stamper's Select White paper and PTI black cardstock and patterned paper.
I die cut the "happy" out of black cardstock and the banner twice out of Stamper's Select Cardstock.  Then I die cut a 2 inch strip of patterned paper and glued it to the top of a white panel.  I stamped "birthday" right under the patterned strip and then I layered the two banner die cuts and adhered them to the patterned strip.  I colored the wooden arrow with the black marker and adhered it to the white panel and attached the happy to the top of the banner.  I layered the embellished white panel on top of a black card base and voila, 5 minutes later my card was finished!!  It will be perfect for my dad whose birthday is in two weeks!!  Thanks PTI for the inspiration!!

Thanks for stopping by!!  See you at the next challenge!!

Good morning dear friends!!  I'm starting the year off with a crafty focus!!  I've been enjoying my new stamps and watercolor paper from PTI and it feels so good to be active in my craft room again!! I decided to get in on the fun with Papertrey Ink's first blog hop of the year!!  Here's the challenge:

January inspiration
and here's my take on the challenge:
I used the turquoise color as the base of my card and drew in some of the dark colors to add depth.  I added the pretty little flower accent to bring in a light pop of orange.  For the base I used a sheet of polka dot patterned paper from an old Crate Paper line called open book.  I inked the polka dot paper with Aqua Mist ink and layered it over an Aqua Mist card base.  I then colored the blossom in the Bold Blossom Water Color sheet with Copic Markers and I also colored the little flower with a Copic Marker as well.

I die cut the butterflies several times out of water color paper and vellum and layered them over the water color base.  I added a little lace for fun and then added a stamped banner for the sentiment.

Supplies Used:
Aqua Mist Cardstock and Ink
Copic Markers:
C00 - Cool Gray
C1 - Cool Gray
B00 - Frost Blue
B0000 - Pale Celestine
R01 - Pinkish Vanilla
G40 - Dim Green

MAKE IT MONDAY #208: OMBRE STAMPING

Hi there dear friends!!  I have a fun card inspired by Papertrey Ink's Make It Monday.  Laurie Willison shared this week's Ombre Stamping challenge and you can find it here.  This card was also inspired by this card by Audrey Tokach who is one of my favorite card makers!! Thanks Audrey for your inspiration!!!
Here's my take on the challenge:
I used PTI's Baby Button Bits and Fly Away Stamp sets along with some PTI Cloud dies for this card.  For the Ombre Technique, I used Spring Rain, Blueberry Skies, and Enchanted Evening inks.  Love, love, love the ombre effect!!
The sunburst and stitched circles are Simon Says Stamp dies.  I layered the scene on top of Blueberry Sky patterned paper.  I love the more masculine card that will be perfect for a Man Shower my hubby has at work tomorrow.  My hubby was happy with the design and of course I was blessed with some much needed crafty time.  It's a win-win situation for us both!!

Thanks for stopping in and I wish you a very happy end of the week!!

Papertrey Ink Make It Monday - #206: STAMPING AND MIXING PATTERNS

Happy Sunday dear friends!!  I hope you have enjoyed your weekend!!  I haven't been feeling too well lately, but I was able to take some time to spend time with my kids,  Spending time with family definitely makes this mom happy and helps to heal what ails you!!  I was able to spend some time today working on Papertrey Ink's Make it Monday Challenge #206 - Stamping and Mixing Paper.  Danielle Flanders shares with us how to create and mix patterned papers.  She is amazing!! Here's the challenge:
--Create a project utilizing your take on the challenge. Your project must use at least one Papertrey product and at least three stamped patterns.

Here's my take on the challenge:
I used this photo as inspiration to create my patterned papers:
Dyptique + Jonathan Adler
These are the papers I created:
I used Background Basics: Super Stripes and black ink for the first pattern.  I used a Tim Holtz Stamp and black ink for the second pattern.  To create the third pattern I used The Sweet Life stamps and stamped them Sweet Blush Ink on Sweet Blush paper.  The next pattern was created  by stamping leaves from Garden Grace on Simply Chartreuse paper using Versamark Ink.  I love those little leaves.  The final pattern was embossed with gold embossing powder using the Crackled stamp.  I love all of these patterns and colors!  So Shabby and very chic!!

I used the You've Been Framed: Oval Die and cut out the various patterns and layered them all on a Smokey Shadow card base.  The florals and dies cuts are stamped using Sweet Blush and Simply Chartreuse Ink.  The sentiment from Brushed Blooms was stamped in Black and Soft Stone.  I added a Hug Snug Seam Binding bow, a strip of striped patterned paper, a strip of gold paper and a little scalloped strip as the final touches.  Such a fun card!! I love all these new stamps and dies from Papertrey Ink!!!

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have a fabulous week!!!

Make It Monday #204 - Watercolor Smooshing

Hi there dear friends!  It's Sunday night and I finally finished my Papertrey Ink Make It Monday Challenge - Watercolor Smooshing.  Here's my take on the Challenge:
I used Hibiscus Burst and Summer Sunrise Ink for the smooshing and I used a punch to punch out my butterflies from the smooshed paper.  What a fun technique and if you've never smooshed before check out Betsy's video for more!
I used some PTI Banner Dies and printable paper from Melstampz to create the banner.
I die cut the PTI Block Alphas from PTI Silver Cardstock and Double Sided Foam Adhesive sheets and layered them onto PTI a Doily Details Die.
The florals were stamped using PTI Bitty Bouquet stamps and Dies.  These florals are my new favorite stamps and dies!! They are absolutely beautiful!!
I added a double layered border at the top of each of the banners using PTI Heart Border dies in Silver and Stamper's Select Cardstock.
I added some little antennae to the butterflies using black cardstock and PTI Be Happy Dies.  I also added some rainstones to the butterflies for fun.
I tied the banners together using white Hug Snug Ribbon.
I used my brand new MISTI to stamp all the flowers!  What an awesome tool!! If you haven't heard about the new MISTI tool, you are definitely missing out!! It is definitely the Most Incredible Stamp Tool Invented!
Thanks for stopping by!!!  I hope you have a wonderful week!!

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Anything Girly or Feminine

Happy Friday!!! I have a fun and easy little card to share with you this evening using Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Anything Girly or Feminine.  My sweet girlie has a baby shower to go to for a friend who is having twins.  I wanted a quick and easy card so I could take it to her tomorrow morning before we go on a hike.  I chose this card by Maile Belles as my inspiration for today's card using Papertrey Ink's Swoosh Stamps and Dies.
I die cut the patterned paper with the Swoosh die and stamped the Swoosh sentiment onto my card base with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.  I stamped the babies onto white cardstock and then I fussy cut them out.  I stamped the blankets with PTI Hibiscus Burst and Spring Rain ink.  I added a little seam binding bow with a pearl to add a sweet little touch.  The paper is from Betsy Veldman's Beautiful Brushstrokes Make It Market kit.
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful evening!!
