Papertrey Ink 8th Anniversary Challenge Day 3 - Tag and Bag

Hi there friends!!  Two posts in one night!  Whoo hoo!! I am on a roll!!  Craft therapy is the best therapy there is!!!   Here's the challenge for day three of Papertrey Ink's  Anniversary Challenge:

  •  Create a tag for a gift bag that you make from scratch or pick up at the store.
I had these cute little craft bags in my stash and thought it would be fun to add a little shaker heart for a fun little Valentine Gift!!  I stamped the bag with Papertrey Ink Fresh Snow using Polka Dot Basics III.  Love those polka dots!!

I created a little shaker tag using Betsy's Make It Market Sparkle and Shine Kit.  Oh my goodness, I just love this kit!!  These little shaker tags make my heart sooooo happy!!

Thanks for stopping by!!  I hope you have a wonderful night!!!

CupCards to Go Valentine Kit Reveal

Happy Monday Friends!!  I am so excited to share my designs from the CupCards to Go Valentine's kit. This month's kit is absolutely amazing and filled with so many Valentine's Goodies, you'll be able to make a ton of Love-ly cards!!  From Shabby Chic goodness to CAS simplicity there's something for everyone!!

The first card I'm sharing with you tonight is my favorite of the bunch.  The rub ons that are included in the kit are a part of my focal point as well as the sweet layered heart and fussy cut birdies.  Love, love, love the little quote!!
The challenge this month was to create a pocket card to hold some of the fun little Love Notes that are included in the kit.
When you take out the notes, you find a sweet little surprise!
I was really in a Clean and Simple mode with this kit.  Love, love, love me some white space and there are plenty of embellishments to make a handful of CAS cards!!
This card was inspired by the sketch for this month.  I just had to put the embellishments toward the bottom corner rather than in the middle, I just couldn't help myself...wink, wink!  I layered several die cut hearts to make a nice thick embellishment.
Love, love, love this technique! The top layer is made from printed vellum and I do have to say that is my favorite paper in the kit!! Vellum is my new favorite!!
If you've followed my blog for any length of time, you know how much I love shaped cards.  The beautiful Turquoise bow totally inspired this card!!
The angled design has become one of my favorite go to sketches.  So quick and easy and effective too!!
These cards came together so easily and I have more ideas on tap using the goodies in this kit!! You're gonna love it!!

Thanks for stopping by and I wish you a wonderfully creative day!!

It's Wednesday!!

Good Morning everyone!! I am so happy that this week is going by rather quickly! I was so tired on Monday after having a week and a half off from work, but I think I am back in the swing of things. I have been busy taking inventory, working on my Little Red Scrapbook kit, and in all honesty just creating for fun! I feel I have been way too busy and my work has suffered for it. I intend on making 2010 a year of getting back to the heart of things-my family, my faith, and my craft. I can't allow Busy-ness to rule my life. I have so many dreams and desires and they won't be fulfilled if I am too busy to step out and try them. My devotions today from My Utmost for His Highest by Oswald Chambers really convicted me.
Worship is giving God the best that He has given you. Be careful what you do with the best you have.
I want to glorify Him in everything I do...not just get a lot done. I have to change my focus and
my motivation and I think the rest will come. I hope today finds you at rest wherever you are and that busyness isn't in charge of your day!

Since I am determined to create for fun I thought that getting back to those challenges I love would be a good start. So I stopped by the CPS Blog and decided to create a little Valentine card. I used Papertrey Stamps and a cute little vintage image for this card, so this card works for the Papertrey Scraptastic challenge too! Here is the sketch:
and here is my take on the challenge:
Thanks for stopping by!!
I hope today finds you resting in the peace of the Lord!!
