MAKE IT MONDAY #239: CUSTOMIZING PATTERNED PAPER

Happy Saturday dear friends!!  Saturday is a perfect day for Craft Therapy and I decided to participate in the PTI Make it Monday challenge!!  Making cards has been so therapeutic as I have been putting in a lot of time at work.  I am so thankful to have such a wonderful hobby that gives me so much joy!!  Here's the challenge:
--Create a project utilizing your take on the challenge. Your project must use at least one Papertrey product and customized patterned paper.
and here's my take on the challenge:

I used Pure Poppy Patterned paper as my base and added a Sweet Blush stripe to change it up and I love the results!!  I added some Sweet Blush florals from the Bold Blossoms Stamp and Die set.  I used Copic Marker R20 to add some shading to the flower and my favorite Happy Die for the sentiment.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful evening!!

Kristi, your card is gorgeous! Your striped element to the background seems as though it was there the whole time! I love how you tied everything together with the flowers and sentiment!

Great addition of the sweet blush stripe. It really adds to the card. The detail of the different colors stacked on the die cut is great as well! Nice job!

Your stamped pink stripes really help to soften that strong red pattern. I never would have thought this paper could work with pink flowers - but now it does! Very nice card.

Your flower really "pops" on that background, and I love the way you did the sentiment.
