Pink Persimmon Fun and More Pink Paislee Kits!!

Shabby Chic Pink Paislee Kits for Sale!!!

Hi there dear friends!!  I hope all is well with you this gorgeous summer day!!!  I have been so busy, I can't even tell you-but then I guess you can see that from the way I haven't been posting in my blog lately!!  I have been making cards by the dozen and they are selling just about as fast as I can make them!  I haven't even had time to take pictures of many of them, so they aren't even making their way on my blog!  What a wonderful problem to have!!  I am so thankful for this year's Farmer's Market and for all those who have bought my heartfelt creations!! You are all absolutely amazing and I am so very blessed indeed!

I also found time to finally hold those card classes I've been wanting to have!  Some of my dear sweet friends came over for a Shabby Chic Card Class and a Vintage Card Class!! I had so much fun with these kindred spirits of mine!! 

We took some time to learn to tie seam binding bows and my friends Jackie and Stephanie are now pros!!!!  Whooo hooo! That totally makes me smile!!!

 My amazing friends Jessica and Pam work wonders with Copic Markers!!!  They are the best!!!!

My beautiful friend Lisa and her daughter made the most beautiful cards!!!  They are the best!!!  I am now planning for 2 Christmas card classes  - one in October and one in November.  I will keep you posted on the dates and times.  One class will feature Lisa Pace's Antiquated Stamps and one will feature some more Shabby Chic goodness!  I can't wait!

In the meantime, I have 3 kits left over from the Shabby Chic Class for sale!!

Stamp A Faire 2012 Continued

Happy Friday beautiful friends!! I am so far behind, but I've had a blast continuing on with my Stamp-a-faire projects! Here's the challenge:


Your challenge is to pick one of the mini books from below and utilize it in a project of your own.  You can re-create an exact replica of the designer's project or reinterpret it in your own way.

I chose to make Melissa's Mini Book using the Library Card Die and mini Library Pockets. Squeal....What a cute little project! I still can't contain my excitement over this project and I just have to say, I loved it so much I just had to make two of them!!!  My heart is so happy after creating these two projects!! They were just the therapy I needed!!

Here's a close-up of the first one:

I thought it would be fun to make one of these little mini tag books with strawberries using Papertrey Ink's Strawberry Patch Stamps and Dies!! The Papertrey Ink Patterned papers worked beautifully with this project!!

I also used the School Time Stamps, Movers and Shakers Sentiments and We Go Together sentiments too.  Way fun!!

and here's my second take on the challenge:

I used Pink Paislee London Market papers with the second book and I totally love the Shabby Chic feel of it!!

I used my new favorite stamp set Life is Sweet to decorate the pages in this sweet little mini!!!  What a wonderful stamp set!  I just can't get over how sweet these roses are!! They are so fun to use!

I used Pink Paislee London Market Papers for the inspiration in this card.  London Market papers are my favorite papers from last season!  I paired the papers with Sweet Blush and Vintage Cream cardstock...my very favorite colors ever!!

Make it Monday Challenge

Happy Friday dear friends!! I hope you all had a very happy 4th of July!!  Our week has been absolutely fabulous! My dad visited from California, we hiked a good 10 miles during the week, spent some time with good friends, and yesterday had a girls day out!! Whew!  It truly was a fabulous week! I haven't had much time to create over the past several days, but I am busy making new cards for Farmer's Market!  Business has been very good and each week I've had to replenish my stock!! I am so very thankful for all of you who have purchased my goodies at the Farmer's Market and in my Etsy Store!!!  Thank you from the bottom of my heart!!

Today I made a fun little birthday card using the Papertrey Ink  Make It Monday #73: Stamping on Patterned Paper and Retro Sketches #19.  

Here's my take on the challenges:

I used Pink Paislee's London Market 6x6 pad for this card.  I used the patterned paper with mostly text to die cut the butterflies and then I stamped each butterfly with sweet blush ink.  I inked each butterfly with Tim Holtz Tea Dye Distress Ink and adhered them to the card base and added a little pearl embellishment.  The pearls on the Lovely Layers Leaves were inspired from Melissa Phillips amazing card seen here.

Happy Friday dear friends!!!  I'm so excited to share Lisa Pace's new line of Antiquated stamps!!!  I just love Lisa's stamps they are so amazing and full of detail!!

The Antiquated Collection is a tribute to the era of ascots, parasols, fancy hats, patent leather shoes and all things charming and endearing.  ~Lisa Pace

This stamp is all that and more!!!  The sheer vintage goodness of it totally makes me smile!!  I can't tell you how much fun I had playing with it!!!

...then comes Baby stamps so beautifully and the detail is so fabulous!!

I stamped the image twice onto Vintage Cream Cardstock.

 and fussy cut one of the stamped images.  I colored the image with Copic Markers and inked the edges of the image with Tim Holtz's Tea Dye ink.  I curled the edges of the carriage to add depth and used pop dots to glue the image on top of the main stamped image.  I embellished the finished image with pearls to add to the Vintage Style!!!

PTI April Blog Hop

Hi there dear friends!! I hope all is well with you!!  I have been under the weather over the past couple of days so I am late with this post, but hopefully I am finally on the mend!! I'm hoping my backache and headache go away and that I will be able to sleep tonight!  That will help tremendously!!  I did take some time late this afternoon to enjoy some scrap therapy and made a quick little card focused on the PTI April Blog Hop.  Here's the deets:

I used PTI's new Trendy Trees dies and Pink Paislee's London Market 6x6 papers for this month's challenge.  I couldn't wait to play with these adorable trees!! They are one of my many favorites!!

I also used the butterflies from Sweet Spring and the bunny from Friendship Jar Spring Fillers to complete the sweet scene!  The sunbeams are from Nativity Silhouettes and the sentiment is from Year of Flowers Daffodils.  I love mixing and matching stamp sets!!!  It is so theraputic and fun!!

Prickley Pear Mondays - Nesting Finches

Good morning dear friends!!!  I hope you had a blessed Easter yesterday!  I had a wonderful day with my family!  My kids came over for breakfast, we went to church and then had a fabulous Easter dinner afterwords!  I am so thankful for my kids and I am thankful for each and every moment I spend with them!!
Today is a day off from school, so I will be working on cards, cleaning and the dreaded taxes!! I have lots to do, so I better get busy!!!

Today's card for Prickley Pear Mondays uses their beautiful Nesting Finches Stamp:

I stamped the finches onto a die cut piece of white paper:

and then stamped the image onto patterned papers and fussy cut the birds, nest, flowers and leaves. Then I paper pieced the images onto the die cut.  I inked the edges and added some Copic Marker accents.

Let's Get Spooky!!

Happy Monday dear friends!!!  It's Monday and that means it's time for a little Prickley Pear Rubber Stamp goodness!!  Today I made a fun little tag card using the Dancing Skeleton Clear Stamp Set.  What a fun set to play with this Spooky time of the year!!

There are so many options with this fun set!  You could play all day!

I Stamped the Coffin out of Crate Paper's Emma's Shoppe Paper and used it as the tag holder.  I also combined Pink Paislee's Phantom Collection papers as well as Crate Paper's Farmhouse collection.

There's the skeleton bride peeking out of her coffin!  Isn't she lovely?

Card Patterns #132

Good Morning Dear friends!!  I am a little somber on this 9-11 morning. My heart aches for those who lost loved ones on that infamous day and this is definitely a day of remembrance and reflection.  I think Amy Coon summed it up best when she said, 

We don't live in America. America lives in all of us. And no one has the power to take that.

My heart aches, and yet and I am so thankful for those who put their lives on the line so that we can live in the "land of the free and the home of the brave".  Thank you to my son who is scheduled to be deployed to Afghanistan in April of 2012.  I have mixed feelings about it all, yet, I am so very proud of him and his willingness to serve.  We love you Bub and we lift you up in prayer each and every day as your deployment draws near!

I turned the sketch on it's side and used a tag and button and butterfly for the embellishments shown in the sketch and finished the cluster with my favorite seam binding bow.

Card Patterns #131

Happy Labor Day dear friends!!!  I hope you are enjoying the end of the summer holiday!!  I am taking it easy after being sick for two weeks and I tell you, what a blessing it is to get some extra sleep and enjoy some extra time with my family!!  I am feeling truly blessed indeed!

I am thrilled to share this week's Card Patterns Challenge with you today!!  It's a classic sketch with lots of flair!!  Here's the sketch:

Here's my take on the sketch:

I have a little secret for you, I used my Little Red Scrapbook September kit for this challenge, so you have a sneak preview of what's to come!!  I am totally loving this kit and the stamps are absolutely fabulous!!  The dogwood flowers are from the stamp set and I stamped them twice and colored them with my copic markers and fussy cut them out.  I glued a bit of Stampin Up Glass Glitter in the centers for a little sparkle and shine.

I stamped the background circle with the script stamp from the set using PTI's Aqua Mist ink and added some Copic colored flowers and aqua buttons for contrast.  I also added some vintage ephemera from the kit for fun.

Make it Monday Challenge

Hi there dear friends!!!!  I hope all is well with you and you are enjoying your summer months!  I am certainly enjoying summer since school is out and I have time to do those things I have been needing and wanting to do!!!  I spent Monday finishing up planting the garden and flower beds and what a good feeling that was!  Today it's raining outstide and I'm spending some time getting ready for the Farmer's Market.  I have lot's to do, but creating is so theraputic that my soul is being refreshed for sure!  I have been wanting to make some banners to see for the market and I figured out a way to participate in the Make it Monday Challenge and check another project off my list!!!  Whooo hooo!  I love it when things come together!!!

Make It Monday #18: Adding Texture with Tissue Paper

Take a peek at the MIM video! You will love this technique!! I guarantee it!!

Here's my take on the challenge:

I decided it would work perfectly to alter the letters with Betsy's tissue paper technique and I am loving the results!

I cut out the letters on the Cricut machine using the A Child's Year Cartridge.  The size of the letters is 2.75 inches.

You can see the subtle difference the tissue paper made.

 I mounted the letters on Papetrey Ink's Mat Stack 1 tag.

 I added a Tim Holtz Pearl Bauble between each of the Boxy Banners.

 I dyed the natural flowers with Tattered Angels Cherub Pink mist.
